Record Store Day Guide 2010

Record Store Day is an internationally celebrated day observed the third Saturday of April each year. Its purpose, as conceived by independent record store employee Chris Brown, is to celebrate the art of music. The day brings together fans, artists, and the over 700 independently owned record stores in the United States, along with hundreds of independent record stores across the world.

Below are few links to guide you to some of the great local record stores in the Madison area. Get out and support them!

From MadCity Music: …And, we are getting ready!  Attached is the most recently updated list of exclusive releases and limited edition items available on RSD.  You’ll find almost all releases and items at MadCity.  However, due to the limited availability, we will be unable to guarantee exactly what we’ll have that day.  To be fair and play by the official RSD rules imposed on all participating stores, we will not take orders or place items on hold for anyone.  Hey, you know how we love to follow the rules around here….
