PICS/VIDEO: Fanfarlo with Gardens & Villa

Fanfarlo with Gardens & Villa: Both acts made their inaugural appearance in the Badger state…and it was also my first time witnessing  both of these bands. I really enjoyed Fanfarlo’s sound; it’s reminiscent of the energetic and emotional pop of Arcade Fire and Talking Heads; Simon Balthazar (vocals, guitar, keyboards, mandolin, saxophone) matches the vocal inflections David Byrne. Fanfarlo balanced their sound with the visual aspect of their set and was very careful not to overwhelm the the audience or take away from their music. See video and pictures below.
