House Legend DJ Derrick Carter at Majestic Theatre

Derrick Carter returns to Madison to perform at the Majestic Theater on Friday, April 19 2013. A master of the “Chicago House” movement in the 90′s, Derrick Carter is tremendously respected around the globe today.

Derrick is recognized as the creator of the “Boompty Boomp ” tech house sound. The term was reputedly coined by Carter’s mother when she told him that he should use his voice to make music “instead of making that boompty boomp sh*t.”
