Steve Bug at his Sunday School best at the festival! I have seen Steve put down some great sets in the past but the 1.5 hour late afternoon set at Electric Zoo was hands down one of his best sets. He has always been a bundle of infectious energy behind the decks. But at the Sunday School Hilltop stage he was unhinged! Perhaps he swallowed too much bass? (Note: Check out I Swallowed Too Much Bass from his latest album Collaboratory, featuring Paris The Black Fu of the Detroit Grand PuBahs). After much teasing (and swallowing of bass), when the time came to drop the track, it was greeted with a big roar and applause from the crowd. Poised over the mixers at one moment, bursting into a clapping frenzy the next, Steve Bug is a fun DJ to watch and to listen to. If you are fans of deep house/minimal house, go see Steve Bug put down a live set. It is a guaranteed treat! Looking forward to the next time I see him - Detroit/Movement 2010 next year?
