Bang!, which went off on the 4th of July, was fuckin awesome. Again, another Projekt-graced production - in collaboration with For U and Outlawed - has provided all the elements of a good underground electronic music event.

It featured two DJ 'rooms' with local and Chicago headliner talent gracing both of them. Justin Long and Gene Ferris dropped amazing sets as would be expected. Another Chicago native, Johnny Armstrong - lit up some of the best techno I've heard in awhile. He is definitely one you should check out. Unfortunately, I was unable to record his set; however, there's numerous ones online available for download. Check em out at his MySpace page.

In addition to the unbelievable beats and bass, the night featured free burgers and brats, courtesy of the events promoters and unauthorized fireworks lit off by Justin Long and Gene Ferris -- mischievous little trouble makers!
