AFRICA!!! Seun Kuti + Bombino this week

We have two rock stars from Africa in Madison this week! Now when was the last time that happened? Tonight Seun Kuti with Egypt 80 at the Memorial Union Theater followed by a Sunday night special featuring Bombino, the Tuareg guitarist from Niger with Tani Diakite and the Afrofunkstars opening, at the High Noon.

In case you missed it, Bombino made his first ever US appearance at last year’s La Fete De Marquette and is back in town, this time on a world tour with his Agadez album, voted the 50 best albums of 2011 on NPR!
