Cass McCombs has an undoubted gift for easy, flowing melodies, which together with his organic, acoustic and pedal steel guitar-heavy sound give many of his songs a timeless feel.

Los Angeles based, folk-traditionalist Frank Fairfield has come a long way in the past few years. Since being discovered playing the city's sidewalks and signing to New York Folk label Tompkins Square, he has toured the country numerous times. Supporting Fleet Foxes on their 2008 tour, he moved on to play with such acts as Charlie Louvin, Pokey Lafarge, Charlie Parr and Blind Boy Paxton, becoming a popular act at the annual Pickathon festival and appearing on NPR's Morning Edition.
