Concert Review: Vic Chesnutt and Elf Power

High Noon Saloon, Madison
January 30, 2009

As expected, I had a really great time the other night seeing Vic Chesnutt with Elf Power. First of all – I met up early with a bunch of good friends at the High Noon, which always sets up my mood nicely. Then Elf Power came out and put on a really great set.

So naturally, I bought their newest release – In A Cave (and got it signed while chatting with lead singer and songwriter Andrew Rieger at the merch table). . . BTW – I’ve been listening to this album all week and really enjoying it! (Imagine my surprise when I found out that they have eight albums out. Where’ve I been?)

After a short break, Elf Power returned to the stage – this time taking seats – to backup Vic Chesnutt. Together, they proceeded to play their joint recording Dark Developments in its entirety. I loved it!

I know… This is way too many pictures for one page… Be patient if necessary. You are a fan — so Enjoy!

Cheers, Mister Bill
