GARBAGE – Tue., October 16, 2018 – The Sylvee – Madison, WI

Garbage is touring in celebration of the 20th anniversary of their iconic second album Version 2.0. They released a special deluxe edition of the album earlier this summer, and they will be playing the album in its entirety along with a number of b-side from the reissue as well.

If any band qualifies as Wisconsin rock royalty, it’s got to be Garbage. Has any band from Madison achieved greater popular success?

Butch Vig, Duke Erikson and Steve Marker were all widely-known and appreciated in the area for their work with Spooner and Fire Town (as well as the production work out of Smart Studios, which was started by Vig and Marker). When they formed Garbage, they recruited Scottish musician Shirley Manson after seeing her work with Angelfish. They wanted a female vocalist that could sing in an understated way. It was a winning combination.

Version 2.0 topped the UK charts and received two Grammy nominations. Hard to believe that it’s been 20 years already! Come out to The Sylvee and here it again… Live.
