Phantogram just kicked off a Spring tour following the recent release of their third studio LP, Three (Republic Records). They will be making a stop in Madison at the Orpheum Theatre, where they will be joined by “shoegaze alternative soul” pioneers The Veldt … This should be a good show.
Phantogram formed in 2007 and consists of Josh Carter (guitars) and Sarah Barthel (keyboards). They define their music as electro rock, dream pop, electronica and trip hop. Here’s a live recording from a few years ago:
Opening support will be provided by The Veldt – recommended for lovers of Cocteau Twins, Massive Attack, and Jesus & Mary Chain.
