The Pines‘ haunting music has been well described by PopMatters as “spooky, country-noir…conjuring a grizzled sky, parched fields and cold wind.”
With a new studio album set for release in early 2016 on Red House, The Pines will be giving fans a preview of their new songs when they return to Madison to play the High Noon Saloon at 7pm on Saturday, Nov 21.
This tour will feature the core group of David Huckfelt, Benson Ramsey and his brother, Alex Ramsey… Yes, they are sons of Bo Ramsey. The band’s dark, somber music features intricate guitar interplay layered over atmospheric keyboard work. Their most recent album – Dark So Gold, released in 2012 – was a beauty. Here’s a taste from that album for you:
This early show should be a good one! Hope to see you there.
