This Show will be a Thrillah!
Easy Star All-Stars at High Noon Saloon

Easy Star All-Stars are almost ten years into a series of releases that began with their transformation of  Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon – into reggae. Since releasing Dub Side Of The Moon in 2003, they have tackled two more classic records =  Radiodread (2006) from Radiohead’s OK Computer and Easy Star’s Lonely Hearts Dub Band (2009) from The Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper’s –  along with two albums worth of original songs and a remix of Dub Side of the Moon.

When deciding what should be their next tribute album, they kept circling back to one in particular: “The Greatest Selling Album of All Time” – Michael Jackson’s Thriller. They just released Thrillah on August 28th.  Timing is good too, because November marks the 30th anniversary of Thriller’s release.

Come out and see them perform at the High Noon Saloon in Madison, Wisconsin on Friday, September 7, 2012.  Should be a fun time.  Hope to see you there.

Cas Haley and Tropical Riddims Sound System will open the show.

The TRSS specializes in spinning reggae music that celebrates the over 50 years of Jamaican music history. DJs FRP and JAM collaborate to mix an entertaining blend of blue beat, ska, rocksteady, roots and conscious dancehall music.  Tropical Riddims will be celebrating year twenty-one of broadcasting on WORT 89.9 FM.
