Wilco w/ Califone at The Overture Center, February 20, 2010

It’s taken me a while to post pictures from last month’s sold-out performance by Wilco and Califone at the Overture Hall. It was a fabulous show with both bands sounding phenomenal. It was obvious that several hours had gone into sound check. Califone kicked off the evening with a short but wonderful set that included several songs from their new album All My Friends Are Funeral Singers. Wilco on stage were a delight to watch – brimming with energy and jest, playing songs both old and new, creating new intimacies with old material and thrilling with the new. I will thrilled to hear them perform some of my favorite Wilco songs (or favorite songs by any artist for that matter) – A Shot in the Arm, Handshake Drugs, California Stars… Here are some pictures for the evening to relive the show!
