Yuck – Yuck (2011, Fat Possum Records)

By now you have probably heard of YUCK. If you haven’t…they’re an indie rock band originating from from London, England. Yuck features members whom have formerly played in the band Cajun Dance Party.

The band’s self-titled debut album was released on Fat Possum Record. Their sound is reminiscent of the 90’s alt rock band that ruled college radio. Some of their overall sound will seem like Pavement, Buffalo Tom, Sonic Youth and Dinosaur Jr but in their own fresh interpretations.  Here is what one critic had to say: “Yuck masters of their own destiny have set their own pace whilst casually overshadowing whatever *scene* is in vogue in any given month…”
