John Acquaviva in Madison!

John Acquaviva will be playing a party with other artists from his Definitive Recordings label at Bora Bora on Ibiza on September 14th.  The following day he will be in Madison to play a set at Willy Beats and then an after-party at Plan B…  I can’t make the Ibiza gig, but wouldn’t miss seeing him in Madison!

 

John is one of the legends of the electronic dance music scene.  He founded one of the most well-known and influential techno labels – Plus 8 Records – with Richie Hawtin in 1989.  They subsequently formed the more house-oriented label – Definitive Recordings – in 1993, and John continues to run this label.  He was also a pioneer at combining traditional turntable DJing with the digital world, and helped launch FinalScratch and Beatport.com, which has become the largest dance-music download portal in the world.
