Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings from Brooklyn, New York put on a late night set that was the perfect end-cap of four days of music and festivities for me. The Dap Kings opened (or warmed up for Sharon Jones as the band's emcee and guitar player puts it) with a few funky instrumentals before the diva of funky soul danced onto stage. And the lady sure can dance! Sharon Jones and the band put on an intense, high energy show that is a must see for all music lovers. A short set that included a bunch of tracks from the group's most recent release - 100 Days and 100 Nights (2008). This was my second Sharon Jones + The Dap Kings show in the past year and I am already looking forward to the next time.
