Madison-native Marla Hansen returns to her home for an intimate performance in the cozy confines of Cafe Montmarte with Michael Reisenauer & Liz Weamer (of Pale Young Gentlemen) & Jentri Colello.

Marla has degrees in viola from the University of Wisconsin, Madison and Stony Brook University, and is on faculty at the Bloomingdale School of Music. But perhaps more significantly for music fans is her work with Sufjan Stevens, My Brightest Diamond, The National, Devotchka, The New Pornographers, Duncan Sheik, and many other bands in the New York area (including appearances with Jay-Z at Radio City Music Hall, and with Kanye West on SNL). She is also a member of the string quartet Osso... I'm guessing that she's a pretty good musician!

Marla has recently released her debut EP titled Wedding Day under the indie Standard Recording label .

Marla recently bought a guitar. from Ethan, who drives the super-chill "Ludwig van Diesel"

Marla also enjoys playing Guitar Hero. A definate point in favor. . .
