EMANCIPATOR ENSEMBLE w/ Odesza – Thu., January 30, 2014 – The Majestic Theatre

Fans of EDM should enjoy seeing Emancipator and Odesza perform at the Majestic on Thursday, January 30th.

EMANCIPATOR (aka Doug Appling) is a trip hop producer based in Portland OR. He is accompanied regularly by live violin, and the Ensemble also includes live bass and drum players. His newest album, Dusk to Dawn, marks a return to the soulful integration of organic hip hop and symphonic layers that first captivated his audience.

Seattle production duo ODESZA began in 2012 as a recording project between Harrison Mills (aka Catacombkid) and Clayton Knight (BeachesBeaches). Their first release, Summer’s Gone, was a mixture of dreamy, sun trickled melodies, glitched out vocals, crunchy drums and large sweeping bass lines.
