GREG GINN & GARY PIAZZA w/ Venice Gas House Trolley, Midwest Avengers, Doping the Void

Greg Ginn began in 1976 and hasn't stopped since! Now he brings one of his most recent musical creations to Madison, WI for a raucous night of rock and jam. On Friday August 20th, Ginn will perform with musical collaborator Gary Piazza as headliner of a bill stacked with local and regional talent. Greg's music today can be described as Jamband-Funk-Psychedelic from the Roots to Eoto, STS9, Grateful Dead and The Disco Biscuits.

From the earlier years, Ginn is known for founding the label SST Records. SST Records has produced many notable bands throughout the last few decades like Bad Brains, Sonic Youth, Descendents, Husker Du, Minute Men and many more. Ginn was also a founding member of the seminal punk band, Black Flag, along with Henry Rollins. Ginn made it to 99th on Rolling Stone's list of "The 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time.

Greg is a national act and has been performing over the past 32 years. He recently released 6 new albums and is heading out on tour in two bands to promote the records, JAMBANG and Greg Ginn & The Taylor Texas Corrugators.
