Hercules and Love Affair are a New York Music project started by DJ Andy Butler. With a top 40 debut album on DFA records in March 2008, the group has received critical acclaim in many countries. Though the DJ set doesn't include all members they are known for their high energy show and dance party feel. Their first album received the "best new music" title from Pitchfork saying, "The most significant thing about the debut album from New York's Hercules and Love Affair has less to do with revival than arrival-- that of a compelling new voice in American dance music."
